I take socks, nightie & underwear that are older & throw them away to make room for things I buy. i buy clothes specifically for travel that are light, don't need ironing & that can be hand washed. Basic colors that can be mixed & matched.

On Marina now.  Using laundry service provided in concierge class.  Wash is good. It comes back in 2 days, nicely folded.  Please not cannot send out laundry last 4 days, even though info said last 3 days.  Can still do my own wash. You can pack light. Also, note people are dressing casual day and night. I am not wearing fancy clothing.

That's interesting.  We're doing the fjords on Marina soon, and I did wonder if people would be wearing more casual clothes in the evening.

Well, lots of good tips here but bags are packed and once again, unsuccessful at packing light.  We will be gone 19 days and cool weather, then perhaps hot weather.  I admire those that can pull this off, but unless I get a special wardrobe for travel, so many things are not easily washed and worn.  Also husband is famous for wearing his food on his shirts creating laundry problems!  So for now, we will be lugging our bags around🙂
