Booking Sanctuary on Discovery Princess for Alaska!

We absolutely love in the sanctuary my husband and I, however we are booked on our first cruise to Alaska over the Labor Day weekend, which is also the weekend of my birthday. Just wondering from those who have experienced the weather during that time. Do you think it will be too cold to truly enjoy the experience? We have the thermal suite pass booked for the week and we may just stick with that but oh how we love the sanctuary. Just curious as to what others have experienced and whether or not this would still be a worthwhile experience.

When I cruised to Alaska on the Star Princess quite some time ago (wow, thinking it's been 10 years, I'm due to go back), we bought the thermal suite pass. In order to get in, we had to pass the spa pool which was below the sanctuary. I don't think it was ever setup. The weather, in my opinion, did not result in lounging around outside.
