GaryfmCol Posted March 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2006 Hi,I am looking for a celebrity transatlantic cruise in either sept/oct or nov.06 Wondered if you well travelled people could recommend one for me, also has anyone been on one & what did they think. Many thanks, Lisa:) ....on the way back across the Atlantic Ocean on the cruise to Galveston, you gain almost an HOUR A DAY, so, your cruise days are 25 hour days...by the time your cruise is over with, that is like a "free day". Plus, CELEBRITY is GREAT, and, we enjoyed the GALAXY immensely. :D
bird4274 Posted March 16, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2006 Group pf 7 of us did transatlantic in Nov 04. Started in Barcelona and ended in Ft Lauderdale. The cruise was great. We were on Celebrity Millie, had aft cabins. they were great. We are waiting for prices for Med cruise next sept 07 on the millie again, same cabins as we had before. You can't go wrong with Celebrity in my opinion.
hajekfam Posted March 16, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2006 We have done 3 fall transatlantics on the Millie - every other year starting with 2001. The first one was late Sept, the second one late Oct., and the third one late Nov. It seems like they are coming back later and later each year. Rare Jim_Iain Posted March 16, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2006 We travelled Constellation TA last September. The crossing was a Northern Atlantic route. Loved the cruise but would like to try the warmer Southern Crossing next time. I understand that this years Constellation TA has been sold out for some time. One real advantage of the Europe to America route is you gain an hour almost every night on the crossing.

casavaha Posted March 18, 2006 #10 Share Posted March 18, 2006 We have done a transatlantic every year for the last 6. Last year we did 2, both on the Galaxy. This year I would recommend the Century. It will be totally refurbished. You cannot beat a transatlantic, especially if you like sea days.
