I think you need more points (lose more money) for it to be applied to a YC booking.

What we found is to get the YC, you must lose 15k. Then you will get a cert for a YC1 for up to 10 days on any sailing if you cross that threshold. There's nothing more if you lose more than the 15k however so no incentive to keep pushing after that.
