My port arrival time says 9:30 in Civitavecchia--will we board that early??!! (NCL)

I was stunned to see such an early check in time, I've never seen that before!

We are on the NCL Breakaway in August.

Has anyone had personal experience sailing NCL from hear & what we can expect.

that is check in time, the time you arrive at the terminal. that is NOT your boarding time. Boarding will be begin at the usual time of around 1130 

 

after you check in, be prepared to wait in the terminal for a few hours

We were on the Breakaway out of Civitavecchia just last month.  They have a huge sitting area after check in that was cool and comfortable.  We boarded about 11:20.  We opted for an early check in since there were 4000 guest to check in.   It is a very large port and we opted to take a taxi that had clearance to enter the port for about $16.  Otherwise you make your way to the entrance of the port and have to wait for a free bus to take you to your cruise ship. We spent 3 days in Civitavecchia before our cruise and really enjoyed our time.  Have a wonderful cruise!
