Cancelling an excursion purchased though NCL

We're cruising to Alaska on the Bliss, embarking on Saturday.  We were supposed to go with my parents but my dad got a major infection in his knee and now they can't go. 😭.

They booked most of their cruise through an agent and they're working with their insurance to get reimbursed.  We did book one excursion for my mom (though NCL) so we could make sure she was in the same group as us.  We paid for it.  It would be nice if it was automatically refunded when they cancel, but I doubt it!

Is this something we can handle aboard ship? Do they need to do it because it's in her name?

This is our first experience with excursions that are going through the cruise line, so thanks for the help!

Call customer service and ask for excursion desk. 1-866-625-1167 in US.  You should be able to cancel her excursion and it will be refunded to the card used to pay for it.  Have her booking confirmation open as they will need info off that.
