Anyone get free or reduced cruises through the casino with Caesar's Diamond???

Ok - so I do a lot of travel hacking and am part of several online communities that give tips for this. One thing a lot of people do is get free or cheap cruises for Carnival and HAL by "status matching" from Caesar's Diamond to the cruise line.  (You obtain status with Wyndham by getting the Wyndham business card which then grants you diamond status at Caesar's which in turn has resulted in a number of people getting free cruise offers from Carnival and HAL when they upload their card information to the Carnival player's club.) However, most of these people have not cruised a lot with Carnival. My husband just got diamond status at Caesars and we are waiting on his card.  However, I have concerns because we already have significant history with Carnival (we are platinum) that they are going to be like, "Nah. These people don't gamble very much."  I was wondering if anyone who has ever cruised with Carnival quite a bit and then tried this has actually managed to start getting "casino deals" after doing this.

We got a “free” extended balcony cabin on the Celebration with my Diamond Elite card.  Actually $100 pp plus taxes, etc. total is $500.  We also get a $200 cabin credit, so free sort of.
Was getting “free” cruises for years with NCL but have timed off their system as haven’t cruised since 1/20. Wonder why that is… but not happy and will to give Carnival a try.  Hope we don’t miss the vip perks we’d get due to our (Platinum Plus?) NCL status

Did casino status matches to turn Wyndham Diamond status into a free Carnival balcony room offer. Same thing, I follow some travel points and miles blogs, frankly theybhave allowed many exotic trips the past few years that I would have never paid full price to take. Actually it was the ill fated 12 night Baltic cruise on the Pride that broke down in July 2023. I did gamble some on the Pride cruise, no offers yet but its only been a few weeks.

  • 2 weeks later...

I signed up for the match with a Caesars Diamond Plus card (we visit a local Harrahs casino quite often).  About 2 weeks after signing up I got an offer by email for a free ocean view, drinks in casino, $200 OBC.  I booked using the code and upgraded to a spa balcony.

I've only sailed once on Carnival, way back in 1994, I was surprised they found it and linked it in my account.

I've also used my casino card to get Wyndham status, we booked a nice trip to Moab, UT.

Our local casino has free cruise offers all the time, it used to be NCL but these past two years it's been Princess.
