What nights are usually formal nights on a 13-day cruise? I would like to book specialty restaurants but don't want to book them on formal nights.

Likely night 2 and 12 for the Vision sailing.

There are usually 3 formal nights on a 13-day cruise. Depending on the ports and times of arrival and departure, 2nd or 3rd night, usually night 8, and then night 11 or 12.

I'm currently on a 12-night cruise and our formal nights have been night 4 and night 9 (today is night 9 so not sure if there will be another one).

It's equally dependent on sea days, the hotel director, and your ship.

 

There will be only one formal night with pictures with the captain and maybe lobster.  The other two will be 'dress to impress' or 'wear your best'.  

 

We have found there is no usual.
