Pre-Cruise Hotel Stay

We are booked on the Encore out of Athen and booked a 2 night pre-cruise stay.  Has anyone had any experience with Cruise line representative not present after leaving baggage / Customs?  We had a bad experience with another cruise line where no representative was present after our flight.

Picked up at Athens airport last year with absolutely no issues. Straight to Grande Bretange hotel which was fabulous. Our driver was excellent, spoke perfect English and was happy to provide great tips.

Greetings:

We are also headed for Athens next month. I have pre-arranged transfers (from airport to hotel; hotel to dock) with George's Taxi. I selected them based upon feedback from other SB folks. It is more than a taxi, but it should be a "less-stressful" ride after an 11 hour flight.

We flew in/out of Athens for our April into May cruise. All transfers, including airport to hotel were very efficient and comfortable.  SB "representative" met us just outside of customs and got us quickly to the car and driver for our ride to hotel (about 20 - 30 minutes).  We also have had problems with some transfers previously, but these went smoothly.

We have booked a pre cruise hotel through Seabourn multiple times, and we were met by a driver for a transfer to the hotel all but one of those times. In Miami before the 2023 South America/Antarctica Grand Voyage we were not met when our flight was 6-7 hours late arriving from Seattle, and then everyone on our flight had to wait two hours more before luggage began to dribble out in twos and threes. We took a taxi to the hotel, got a receipt, and took that to Guest Services on board. Our account was then credited for the amount of the taxi.

We used George’s Taxi for a tour and also a transfer from hotel to airport.  Fabulous.
