Tender in Venice

Recommended Posts

I was on the Gem out of Athens on July 26. The ship ended in Trieste (didn't tender) but was supposed to be in Venice. When I went to Venice, there was 1 NCL ship in port that did tender. I think it was Prima? Viva? One huge ship.

I'll be honest, this was my 3rd trip to Venice and I regret not spending more time in Trieste. While I knew the weather would be hot and muggy, the crowds made the experience even worse. Trieste is actually a beautiful city, wasn't crowded, and wasn't touristy. That said, I do think everyone should go to Venice if you are in the area and have never been.
