Speaking of "waving your hand"... I apply my blue painters tape across the bathroom "hall" sensor so that there is a bit of a gap at the top nearest the ceiling.  Doing so lets me wave my hand across the top of the tape between it and the ceiling and I still get the light when I want it...no automatic trigger when you don't!

 

In truth, it would be good to have a switch to keep the light on when it is needed.
