Amsterdam Hotel

We will be in Amsterdam September 4, prior to a cruise on Costa. Can anyone give us advise on which area to get a hotel that would be close to the cruise terminal, or at least an easy transfer with luggage? Thanks for any help.

Assuming that your ship is docking at the cruise terminal that's right in the city centre, any city centre hotel will be a short and easy taxi journey from there. Amsterdam city centre is really very compact.

Last year we stayed at the Pulitzer and our friends stayed at the Banks Mansion. I'd highly recommend either hotel!:cool:

As said Amsterdam is very compact. If you have a hotel near central station or Dam that is close to the cruise-terminal.

However with luggage it is too far to walk and you cannot bring much luggage into the trams.

As of October 2006 a new hotel will open on the cruise terminal.

Hi there Ibis have pleasant cheap hotels a bit basic but very clean.

 

However the Radison city centre is a great hotel, well placed, great food, everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel at 3 star prices.
