North or South Route?

There seems to be two routes to see the island - north and south.

If we could only do one route, which one?

What are the highlights of each route?

We did this a few years ago, so I don't recall if we did north or south.  I want to say south.  We saw slave huts, salt mines, past numerous areas you could snorkel and we took it all the way to spend some time at Sorobon Beach.  This is the route I would suggest.

Thanks for responding.  Hoping we can do both routes but we will go south route first.

Definitely the south! Besides sights mentioned above, there are flocks of flamingos and wild donkeys. Take water and snacks.
