Drinks and Casino question

We traveled on Ovation of the sea’s around Alaska a few years back

as expected drinks prices were in $, also slot machines are $
 

We are travelling from Southampton this year, so was wondering if 

drinks menu will still be in $
if we use slot machines will they be in $
 

we are U.K. based

Yes, nowadays RCL always use dollars on the ship wherever they sail in the world. Something in the back of my mind tells me that years ago when Legend sailed from Southampton they used GBP but I may be imagining that 😁.

 

The only cruise line that seem to change to GBP from Southampton are MSC (as far as I know).

I did notice the atm on our Venice cruise dispensed in Euros.  Also they will change money out for you but I am sure the exchange rate isnt very good.
