Noordam pool,club scene

Hi everyone, we're sailing on the 4/5 noordam. I may have missed it but I haven't heard about the pool areas. Are there live bands playing poolside, or pumped in music? If so what genre. Also, are there live bands playing in the clubs or on decks at night. thanks seaya

Pool scene is pretty much pumped in music.

The disco has a great DJ - Jazzy is in there in the afternoons w/ music trivia and different theme nights

Kory is in the Piano Bar playing his tunes, and there's a trio in the Ocean Bar playing standards - the lead vocalist sounds kinda like Harry Connick Jr.

I know from previous experience on a caribbean sailing that NCL has live music poolside. I don't mind a little music but a full afternoon of it can make my head pound. Was this the case on HAL (Noordam)?

Thats far from the case you will be lucky if you get more then 1 hour at a time. Also its not very loud so you wont have to worry about that.

I happen to enjoy live bands or D.J. poolside afternoons, not indoors during the afternoon, nightime trio sounds great though thanks. seaya

The last time we were on the "Old" Noordam with the Guy Lombardo orchestra they played on the Lido deck at lunch time. The music around the pool was only at lunch time.

Don't they all have live bands or groups playing around the Lido pool at lunch?

I usually hear them going into the Lido where I don't have to listen to the music. I have not been on the Noordam but I have been on a number of the HAL ships and I usually see a group playing either as I go into the Lido or come out.

There was live music by the Lido pool during lunchtime. It was Calypso style.

 

I highly recommend the trio in the Crow's Nest - Toni's Boys - if you get a chance, please tell Toni that Sonny & Laura recommended you stop in for a visit! She is a sweetie and learned a song just for me... she sang it everytime we walked in. :)
