Car Hire Port Chalmers

Does anyone know of a car hire company who will meet you in Port Chalmers?  Have only found companies that you need to go into Dunedin to collect the car.  We have organised this in the past (about 10 years ago) but can't find anyone now.

It's a long way for a rental company to go. I'm not surprised.

Earlier this year I tried to find a rental company in Darwin that would meet us with a car at the ship. The carpark is right next to the dock and only a about a kilometer from the rental company office but no luck. I had successfully done it once before but, no more. Had a long uphill hike to pick it up.

That Port Chalmers is quite a way out - throw in that the driver to deliver would need to then find their way back to their office - PLUS then come back out  to it up again - these 'costs' will ultimately be 'added' to any one day rental.
