balcony cabins sold out, Alaska

Hello!

We are attempting to book an Alaska cruise for June 2024.  A trusted online agency will let me book a balcony guarantee for a specific sailing, but when I go directly to Princess to book, it shows balcony sold out.  Thoughts??

For Alaska sailings, balconies are the most popular bookings. As @EDDY0827 says above, TAs can hold blocks of rooms because it's a fairly safe bet that they will be able to sell them.  Also, *every* cabin is NOT available to be "seen" via the website.  Princess will hold back some cabins so that they can be available for upgrade bidding.  In that manner, they will make more money on top of an existing booking for an inside or lower category booking.  I'd jump on whatever your TA offers if you really want to sail that date/itinerary.  Balconies go fast!

Check the warehouse club travel site and see if they show any balconies available.  If that doesn't work, call the popular web based cruise TA and see what have access to.

There's a work around for most every obstacle Princess comes up with.

Historically we book a year or a little more out for Alaska in order to get cabin, ship, itinerary we want .   Alaska is a favorite cruise - agree travel agents hold cabins for booking.  Good luck - you will love cruising Alaska!
