I must miss my solo b2b starting next week but can i cancel my easy plus drinks package

I have the easy plus drink package on one cruise and was wondering if i can cancel it? I booked directly with MSC.

Should i tell them i'm not going on the cruises? No, i didn't buy any cancel your cruise insurance.

If you purchased the drink packaged SEPARTELY (it was not part of the drinks + wifi fare) then,yes, you can cancel it.

Don't forget to check if your credit card might include any cancellation inssurance.

Sorry you have to miss.  You must be so disappointed.  Since you know in advance, I would notify them.  I recall reading a recent thread about getting port taxes refunded when you have to miss.  Don't  know if that's true or not, and I, for one, never expected that it would be.

After getting bounced around a bit and waiting for a call back the final answer is no i can't change or downgrade. They said if i did  it 30+ days before sail it could be done. My fault. I will not take a cruise again without getting cancel insurance unless it is super cheap.

I guess your saying the cruise is within 30 days so MSC will not refund anything? I don't think that's your fault of when you have to cancel. If you're not going on the cruise and you booked the drink package separately, they should refund it. Also, Carnival always refunds taxes and fees for cancelations; but, my father also canceled once and MSC wouldn't refund his taxes and fees either. If you're getting nothing back then I wouldn't cancel, that way they won't rebook the room and make even more money.

If anything, it's a good lesson. Insurance is such a small cost relative to the vacation. I don't really understand why they won't refund the drink though.
