Hello, introducing myself and thank you

Hello Everyone!

 

My adult son (34) and myself (55) are booked on a More Society Islands & Tahiti next August. I had booked the cruise a few months ago, but just booked the airline tickets yesterday and it is now seeming so real and amazing!

 

For both of us this will be our first time in FP and for my son, his first cruise. For myself, my first cruise except for a Nile river cruise. Polynesia has been a dream destination for me since I was a kid. I am over the moon about his and more.

 

We will both get SCUBA certified (scuba being another life-long dream for me) before our trip, and go on the beginner drives.  We have a day or so in Tahiti before the cruise, and a couple days in Moorea after. In Moorea we have booked a private tour to swim with whales.

 

I choose PG for the same reasons that are expressed again and again in this forum - their immersion in FP culture, their food, their laid back vibe and great service, their interest in giving back to the community, small size and amazing service - as well as their on-board drive program. I almost can't believe something this wonderful exists, but here we are.

 

I also want to thank you all for your posts. I have been quietly lurking for a few months, benefiting from all the conversations and information posted here. It's been really very helpful.
