Can you ever upgrade just one person on a drink package.

Having a discussion with someone back home, and they said once onboard you can buy just a single drink package even if there are 2 legal age people in the room.  We already had ours anyway with the fas but didn’t think it was right?

It was reported on here a few times. Not something I particularly look out for, so can’t say if people have reported being able to recently.

 

From memory, this was upgrading the drinks package rather than taking free at sea plus.

 

Edit: sorry for some reason I was thinking you were referring to upgrading to the premium plus package.

 

I think that people have been able to

just get one drinks package, especially if they can demonstrate why the people who aren’t getting it have a reason for not doing so. I would assume that was buying it outright though, as I don’t think you can add free at sea once onboard. At current prices that single price would be more than free at sea for two.

Yea I worded the title poorly.  But I bet that’s what they are talking about.  Just buying the package outright for 1. But like you said with fas you get drinks, dining, WiFi etc etc and cheaper

You can buy a Soda package for one of you after boarding.  Maybe that's what you have read about before?   

 

I use my OBC after boarding to purchase the soda package so I can get my 'cold caffeine' at meals.  We get free drinks & water cartons in the casino and so don't feel the need to pay the fees for FAS.
