Accessible St. Maarten?

I’m having a very hard time finding accessible excursions in St. Maarten/St. Martin. Celebrity’s tour is sold out and the tour companies I’ve found are not serving the island.  Are there accessible taxis we can rent to show us around? I would like to use my power wheelchair but will go with a transfer wheelchair instead if standard taxis is all they have.

You might check with the St Maarten Taxi Association.   They are the largest taxi company on the island.

And John Sage recommends this tour:

There is also the Accessible St Maarten website:

The least expensive way would be hiring a taxi.

In October of next year I'm going to the Panama canal. How do I go about finding accessible tours in that area? Actually, how do you find accessible tours for any part of the world? I guess I don't know how to word it when I put it into google. I don't find anything

You might do a search for:  accessible shore excursion tours [name of port]

Or wheelchair accessible tours [name of port]

Put quotes around the words that you want to be sure are included, like "accessible" "tours" "Belize" or similar.

What cruise line are you going to be on?   They may have accessible shore excursions but it is probably too early for them to be posted.   What are your port stops?

Several times we couldn't find an accessible taxi. Just because there were many ships in port and if you are not the earliest they are hired.

We understood that there are only a few accessible transportations. We walked/ rolled the boardwalk into the center of St. Martin. It is flat and you can shop around or just sitting and enjoy watching the beach life.

The last time we were able to book an excursion with the cruise line for an Island tour. The tour company owned one accessible bus and the ship made the booking for this. It was a nice tour which brought us to the French part of the island. Maybe your cruise offers this too.
