Platinum to Emerald mid-sailing

We will be sailing in April and will go from Platinum to Emerald after the 2nd night. Out of curiosity, will be have the perks of Platinum or Emerald during that sailing? TIA!

You will have only platinum benefits on the sailing, you will not officially become emerald until the conclusion of your current selling, and thus will not receive emerald benefits until your next cruise

It really doesn't get you anything extra. You could book a 3/4 weekend cruise before then to get to emerald if you really want it.

Now you'll have something new to look forward to on your next cruise. You'll be one tier level closer to make Diamond.

I’m not sure Emerald offers any meaningful perks over Platinum. 
They start from Diamond
