Two Midwesterners escape winter on the Eurodam.

Recommended Posts

The rough seas continue if it is going to happen better today than tomorrow in HMC.  Lots of people moving about for bingo, clearance sales and the World Stage lecture on the workings of the ship.   John had wanted to eat in the PG for lunch, never mind we had a 6 pm HIA reservation for dinner.  It worked well anyway to fill a day that I had intended at the beginning of the cruise to get some serious gym time in.  My lungs are far from ready that so we embraced the laziness, lots of food porn today.

For starters John had the Tomato Lemongrass soup and I had Carpaccio.  Next was the black cod sandwich and I had Cioppino.  I was pleased John had thought his sandwich would be deep fried like at home.  He topped it off with the Brownie dessert.

Last of all is my room service dinner to enjoy the Lions game in the cabin.  A delightfully crispy spring roll and Wiener Schnitzel.

Last night's dinner in the PG.  We are on several B2BS but many people are preparing to disembark tomorrow.  Only drudgery for us is meeting in Main Stage tomorrow morning to  clear customs and since this is a Collectors cruise I imagine the group will be substantial.  I am going to ask to sit away from the bunched up passengers.  One more respiratory illness for me will probably take me off the ship.

Overall this itinerary was wonderful.  Varied ports, nice with the addition of Dominica and St. John.

Thank you for all your postings. I'm glad you're feeling better -- well enough to go horseback riding and to savor the "food porn." This shot of the steak is to die for!

Bought it on futures Calvert Woodley Washington DC circa 1997 for $40 per bottle.  About 3 bottles left in the case.

If you are on back to back cruises, do you have the option of leaving the ship for 4-6 hours in lieu of sitting in a crowded theater?

Thanks for all the good pictures.

You always have that option. You can leave as early as the self assist guests who are departing and return anytime after they start reboarding. You are given an in transit ticket to identify as B2B.

Yes we could leave with disembarking passengers.    We would not be able to reboard until the new passengers were allowed on board.   Today's process went very smoothly and we sat away from everyone else.  We were  beginning to reboard at 9:45.   Only 317 passengers staying onboard today.

Last night's dinner in Tamarind.   John had some Nami Sushi, tempura and steak.  I had the pot stickers, tempura and the Szechuan shrimp.   All very good and our server Monica was wonderful.
