News on board and PressReader

We board the Sojourn in a week and just received an email from Seabourn suggesting I download an ap called PressReader to get access to newspapers.  I looked at it and it has 7 or 8 thousand newspapers and magazines available for a $30. a month subscription.  There are other plans, some free for a few days and some to pay for and access a paper for one day.  I have never heard of PressReader and have a couple of questions:

1.  Is there access to a daily newspaper on the ship, either in print or online?

2.  Do you typically use PressReader when onboard?

3.  If so, what plan do you use?

Things may have changed since we cruised in February 2020. Seabourn provided free access to a number of newspapers via the PressReader app, there was no additional charge. I do not recall which newspapers were available.

 

There were larger format printed copies of parts of major newspapers WSJ, NY Times, Financial Times, USA Today available in Seabourn Square.

 

(I subscribe to a couple of newspapers and was able to read them online.)

Press Reader is a post covid alternative to the good old newsheets we used to receive in our cabin. On our first cruise post covid I downloaded Pressreader before the cruise as instructed by SB but found onboard that you could access it via the Seabourn Source App. In fact I was told that you HAD to access it through the SB App whilst onboard to get it free! Logical!!

 

Usual confused SB instructions!

 

However only used it once - it is a pleasure to be free from the world for a few days
