Dress-up nights on 9 night cruise

My question is how many dressier nights on a 9 night cruise?  We are on the Explorer soon.

what nights?  We have a 3-night specialty package and would prefer to not go to a specialty restaurant on the dressy nights as I think there's a superior menu.  Would I be correct the 2nd night for the 1st one, but when would the 2nd one be?  It's a Caribbean cruise out of Miami on the Explorer, 9 nights, 4/19.

Formal nights don't offer any better menu. Just a different one in the rotation.

We're on the same sailing, and based on previous cruises, my guess is 1st (day 2 sea), and 2nd (day 8 sea).
