Changing staterooms

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have booked and paid for 2 staterooms on Spectrum, 27 days to sail date, because RCCL did not have staterooms accomodating 2 adults and one child (told fully booked).

At the time there were no interconnecting rooms, now there are.

Is it straightforward to change rooms, they are in a much lower class category?

I have checked in and got a great boarding time of 11am, will I lose that if I have to check in again?

Will I also lose the 300 US dollar onboard credit if they agree to switch rooms?

Incidentally, there are several 3 person occupancy rooms available now but RCCL have said I would have to pay 75% cancellation charge for 1 room.

Do you hate what you booked enough to pay a 75% cancel fee on one cabin? Yes you would lose your obc if tied to the rate you booked.  After final it's not straightforward to rebook a different category ofmcabin, even if downgrading.

Thank you, at the moment they have such a big price drop, it works out better than OBC so I might have to take that up with them. However, I really don't want to lose my checkin time. I suppose I can do something on the day of embarkation?

I'm not sure about Spectrum and if their check in times are being strictly adhered to.   Maybe check on their roll calls and see if anyone knows the answer.
