Yes, there are! Though not on Princess. You may or may not be aware that HAL has a standby program if you can travel with a couple days notice. Uses several ports of embarkation but Montreal is closest for you. In our case a similar situation, just need to get to San Diego from Los Angeles. If interested:

I was looking on line (Princess.com) thinking if I were to book now what kind of sale/deals would they have. The B2B cruises I booked were both showing **SOLD OUT** I have not seen that in awhile for any of the cruises I have booked.

I did not have a stateroom assigned to me. I got princess to choose for me. They could have stuffed me in a room the size of a closet and I would not have cared. 😄  I checked my princess app and they assigned a stateroom that is wheel chair accessible. I was not expecting that!  I made sure I had my next future cruise booked while on the ship to avoid future disappointment.

I'm seeing a lot of cruises departing or ending in New York at huge discounts off the brochure price.  If you want less crowded on the ship, that might be the way to go.  Ex: 10 days in June for $399pp (inside) or 14 days in August on a balcony reduced again to $891.  Guessing those ones are not close to full.

The Caribbean cruises are not "discounted" nearly so heavily.

When the cabins aren't selling count on the Princess Players Club to fill up the ship by giving them away to casino denizens.

Princess  have also been doing captain's circle offers behind the scenes to keep headline prices up.

I got some for Sun Princess in the Med.

NCL also does this with their regulars extra discounts on the Latitude account.
