We were in an aft cabin on a Scandinavia and Russia cruise a couple of years ago. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Our concierge wiped soot down morning and evening. I didn't notice any on our clothing as they had wiped everything down by the time we were back in cabin each time. I believe we were on the 10th floor (quiet library floor), so can't comment on the 6th. We enjoyed sail out every evening with our drinks and canapes. We had a king, which I'm pretty sure are two twins pushed together, but this wasn't felt in the bed. We've booked aft cabins several times and really enjoy. The only issue for me is how rough the seas are. You'll feel the motion a lot more aft. I won't book aft again going across the Tasmin Sea. It was simply too rough and I was a bit sea sick for two nights. Also going into the Baltic from the North Sea was particularly rough, but just for an overnight so fine the next day. But it was rough coming and going. Aft was lovely in the Mediterranean.

I see very little difference between the two other than 6308 is on the end next to the angled deck Sunset Sky Suite.  So I guess I would take that one to provide a better side view with the angled deck next door.  Aft facing staterooms are among our favorites and we choose them from time to time.  Like the view and have not had any noise or soot issues.  (Soot, if and when it occurs, is a result of the incinerators burning trash, which is periodic and can be affected by wind conditions).

Deck 6 is the lowest stateroom deck and is above Tuscan Grill, but that won't be an issue.  We prefer higher decks and would typically select one between 9 - 11. (12 is directly under Oceanview Cafe, which possibly may result in some noise issues during the dining hours).  The bed is configured to your request, with the default typically being king.  They can be separated if you prefer.
