Confusion about a Dominica excursion through princess

Hello. I’m not sure if anyone has an answer to this, but I figured I would try. I’m taking Enchanted Princess to the Southern Caribbean in January and booked an excursion in Dominica called the best of Dominica-Emerald pool, Trafalgar Falls, scenic Drive. The excursion is listed as 4 1/2 hours long but it says it starts at 7:30 in the morning and ends at 2 PM, which is 6 1/2 hours. I called customer service and they were not helpful at all in trying to figure it out. This makes a difference because we’re not sure we want to take a 6 1/2 hour excursion and we booked it assuming it was 4 1/2 hours until we looked at the timeframe. Does anyone have any idea about this specific cruise excursion or how we could get clarification from princess? to be honest up to now I have not been very impressed with Princess’s customer service. Thank you in advance for any advice.

I looked up the excursion you mention and the excursion details. When you add up all the travel and time at site minutes it adds up to 4 1/2 hours. I would imagine that it takes a little longer. The details don't seem to allow for unloading and re-loading the van at all the stops, and for things like those bathroom lines and delays. So maybe 5 hours. I can't see the start and end times since I am not booked on this cruise.

Thanks. I don’t mind it being five hours or so, but 7:30 in the morning is awfully early. I really think they mean 9:30, but I can’t get anybody to look at the issue or even understand what I’m concerned about.

If you don't get the answer you are looking for before the cruise, check with the excursion desk ASAP when on the ship.  You would have time to cancel then if not satisfactory

We are going on the Emerald Princess soon and Dominica is one of our ports.  This excursion is showing 4.5 hours, so I’m sure that is the correct length.  As far as the departure time, I see your ship is scheduled to arrive at 7:00.  So the departure time could well be 7:30. What departure times are showing for the other tours in Dominica?

The others are showing 9:30.

Hopefully that is the correct departure time.  Guess you won't really know until you get on board.  We don't arrive in Dominica until 9:00, but a couple of the other ports are 7:00 arrivals.  They show some tour departures at 7:30.☹️

I am doing the exact same tour on a different date but we get in at 9 and the tour starts at 9:30.

Thanks, I changed to a similar ship excursion that leaves at 9:30. If they fix the inconsistency I can always change it back.
