Kodiak port to Katmai N.P.

Hello,

We will be at the Kodiak port for a day this October. We would like to get over to nearby Katmai National Park. It's just across a strait from Kodiak Island, but it doesn't appear that there are any ferries or even floatplane flights that go directly there. The only thing I could find is a flight all the way back to Anchorage, and then another to King Salmon, which is closer to Katmai. Does anyone know of a better way to get over to the park and back in a day?

Thanks

I think your main problem is October. All the bears likely gone, the weather sketchy and much of the park closed. It is a quick flight but ferry is not fast enough even if there were one.
