Upgrade cash ticket to Rome using Delta Miles??? Possible???

Has anyone been able to do this?

Can you even know if this is possible before booking?

This all seems so confusing with Delta.

Go to the Delta website and look at the "Miles+cash" options.

Or ask on the Cruise Air board...where there is huge volumes of experience in flights and frequent flyer programs.  Very little to actually do with Italy.

 

How could you upgrade before you even book? That doesn't make sense. Typically you need to book certain level fares that MIGHT be upgradeable,  depending on availability. Then you MIGHT  be able to upgrade.
