Messina hop on hop off tour

Anyone done the hop on hop off bus tour in Messina?

there is actually so little to see in Messina that i am surprised a HOHO even exists.  I cannot imagine it taking more than maybe a half hour at most to go around.  There used to be a little tourist train which went around so you could check if it still exists.  And read any online HOHO reviews to help you decide.

 

The only sight of note is the cathedral mechanical clock which is in motion daily at noon and that is worth a look. People gather in front to watch it.It is no more than a 5 minute flat walk from the port.

 

Most on a first visit will head to pretty Taormina, or to Mt Etna or take a combination tour to both..
