One spouse Platinum, one not...

YES, I have already searched for this;)

My DW will hit platinum several cruises before me, when we book under her name, will I get a platinum card and platinum privileges.

Along that line, my youngest son will be cruising for the first time in May, we have gold cards, will he get a gold card or RWB???

It is my understanding that anyone listed on your wife's documents will enjoy the VIP Check In. She will be the only one with a physical Platinum card. So if you want to enjoy the free wash/fold service, you will have to do it under her name. Also, the free slots (blackjack) will only go to the actual Platinum card holder and not any spouse. As for the canapes and petit fours she will receive, that is up to her if she wants to share!!!

As for priority tenders, not sure since all four of our family members are platinum.

Priority debarkation should work just like the VIP Check In with everyone on that document included.

LHP is correct except for the slots........yes it does say for you only but sometimes a nice casino worker that is responsible will give the $20 voucher to your spouse. I asked and she said she would do it.

Also, it's just a credit card size voucher that says $20 so the Platinum person can just hand it to someone else after they go to the casino cage and get it.

Your younger son will get a RWB card.

Good thing he is going without his older brother and sisters who have already sailed, they would tease him - but at 17 months he wouldn't understand anyway:) then next time when they sail together, he will have his gold!

Thanks for the answers, I am really going to be bummed when the DW has her Platinum and I am standing there with my measly Gold, and no, she won't share...:p

Well, I suppose that you could always tell them that if they tease him, you'll take away their cards and then they won't have a gold card either. That would've shut me up!

That was nice of them to do. The fellow working the cage had a list of all the Platinum members and he was highlighting the names as they received their free tournament cards. This was on the Pride. We couldn't even get the free tournament cards for our 2 Platinum sons (for us to use) because they weren't 18.

Thanks all, this has been bothering me all day, and I have developed a new strategy.

1. Send dw with girlfriends on competitive cruiselines to test the waters.

2. Schedule some 3 day cruises with the fellas so I can catch up.

I think this could work, of course she will start cruising RCI, Princess and NCL and get her perks there before me...

Maybe the strategy is sound, just scratch #1???

One spouse Platinum, one not...

mrdood,

You're after the Mormon discount? ;) :)

Don't know what I'd do if I had one spouse plantinum and one spouse not....I'm sure the one that's not would be a little perturbed. :D

This definately is an original question that the search engine won't find.
