Engine Noise?

My partner seems to think that you can hear the noise (hum) of the engines at night. We're booked on deck 8 of the Brilliance which seems like a long way away from any engine noise.

 

This will be our first cruise together. Can someone either confirm or debunk our little debate?

There will be no noise from the engines, especial on a Radiance Class ship with their pods.

I just got off the Brilliance last Friday. I was on deck 4 and 2 years ago I was on deck 3. I never heard any noise. If you have any more questions about the ship just ask.

You won't hear any noise, but you will feel the tremendous vibrations. Be sure to secure all your belongings before going to bed. In addition, be sure to use the belts on the bed to strap yourself in so you don't vibrate off the bed at night...:eek:

I've always heard a low hum when I cruise but it's never been intrusive in the least. I am very sensative to noise and I have a tendancy to sail in steerage, on the lowest passenger deck.
