Freedom of the Seas near Southampton

Recommended Posts

Have just got home from watching the Freedom of the seas sail through the Solent in between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. She is on her way right now towards Southampton.

Looks absolutely fabulous - the mini hump is very distinctive.

Am going on her in August and am so excited.

Might drive up to Southampton some time at the weekend to see her closer up.

terry and alex -- what is that crazy ship locator thing? Is there a link for it? I would love to take a look. :D

Oh, and thanks for posting.

It is called "AIS", you have to sign-up to be a member. There are two type one through paid membership and the other is through public free site. The public is one hour delayed, while the paid one is realtime with description of the vessel and where it came from and where it is heading next.

Likewise, another neat site is this, http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/cruiseships.phtml
