letscruisegd Posted May 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2006 I have a cruise booked in September and I'm planning on using the advise on this board and have credit placed on my S & S account prior to sailing. Although I've cruised several times during hurricane season with no problems, anything could happen. If in fact the cruise is cancelled, does anyone know if the credit placed on the S & S account will simply be refunded to my credit/debit card or if I would have to request the refund? yogimax Posted May 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2006 Suggest you call Carnival and see what they say.
crazidude1400 Posted May 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2006 I myself am interested in the answer. Unfortunately, I would not expect the shipboard credit to be with you if you cancel and rebook, however I am not sure.
BrendaB1 Posted May 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2006 If you paid the money & it was not used due to a cruise being canceled by the cruiseline, your money should be returned to you. Sounds like you are over thinking the what ifs. Go enjoy your cruise.
judyjbest Posted May 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2006 Actually, we have experienced this. Our parents had a cruise planned on the Conquest last year when the hurricane wiped out their trip We had purchased some shipboard credit for them. When they received their refund, the shipboard credit did not follow. We had to specifically ask for it, but once we did, it was immediately refunded! janetz Posted May 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 7, 2006 I would think if you have purchased the credit (fun dollars?), it should be refunded along with the rest of your $$$ due. :o
letscruisegd Posted May 7, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted May 7, 2006 Thanks to each of you for your responses. I was hoping I would come across someone who experienced this. I'll go ahead and apply the credits and hopfully my cruise will go on as planned. Thanks again;)
