Only gave RCI the opportunity to charge me for towels once and it never happened. So I would say, unless you do something to really provoke the fee, I doubt it would happen.

We have lost 2 towels (not on the same cruise) the first we told the room stewert and she said no problem and the second we accidently left it somewhere out by the pool and told the towel attendant, he also said no problem and gave us another towel so, no we have never been charged.

My daughter left a towel on an excursion in St. Lucia and we were never charged for it.

We have left MANY towels by the pool, or wherever, and two fresh ones have appeared in the room pretty much every day. Sometimes four new towels. No charge.
