BaltimoreCruise Posted May 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2006 Does anyone have experience with organizing a "group" cruise on HAL and the Group Advantage Program? Can you tell me how GAP points are earned? I have read the two page brochure from the HAL site, and while it lists how many GAP points are required for listed benefits, it doesn't tell you how the GAP points are earned/calculated. Thank you for any information you have on this topic. ALD
DamTxCruiser Posted May 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2006 As a TA, I can tell you that Holland assigns GAP points on a sailing to sailing basis. I have had many groups with as many as 10 GAP points and some with as few as 4. It's totally up to HAL groups and you can't add additional points to whatever they have assigned to that sailing. Usually the more expensive and longer itineraries have the most GAP points.
BaltimoreCruise Posted May 11, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted May 11, 2006 DAMTXCruiser, Thank you for the information. I assumed that points would be earned pursuant to a formula based on the size of your group and the $$ spent for cabins. Baltimore Cruise
ocngypz Posted May 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2006 What you are referring to are tour conductor credits, not gap points. If you are not working with an agent, you need to contact HAL's group department.
