Grand Marnier on board?

Does anyone know if HAL ships (particularly the Westerdam) routinely stock the bars with Grand Marnier?...Thanks!

Goodness, Yes!

 

One of my favorite things is a Hot Chocolate w/ a shot of Grand Marnier - perfect for those afternoons at sea in the Crow's Nest!

Oh yes - we often have it as a night cap.

We joked on the Noordam that the chef had to buy Grand Marnier in 55 gallon drums - it seems that there's a dessert almost every night that used it!

There are lots of desserts on all the ships that incorporate Grand Marnier - even the Chocolate Volcano Cake in the Pinnacle Grill has it.

It is reasonably safe to assume that nearly every good hotel and cruise ship on planet earth carries Grand Marnier - one of the most popular liqueurs ever invented.

But if they didn't carry it, what would you do?

Easy solution. Grand Marnier is a simple blend of Cognac and fine Curacao. So you could request a cocktail of 50% Cognac and 50% Cointreau = exactly the same thing as Grand Marnier.

My sister-in-law loves Rusty Nails. I could never get used too the scotch. Like Drambuie better straight up.
