giraffe0514 Posted July 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2006 Does anyone have the name of someone (English speaking) who can meet 4 of us at the airport, take us on a 4 hr tour, including Anne Frank House, Jewish Museum and Museum with Dutch masters artwork? We have a 6 hour layover between flights and I understand city is very close to airport.
larablair Posted July 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2006 Yes, I highly recommend Ingrid, with Comfort Tours. They have a web site. Just go to Comfort Tours/ Netherlands She is wonderful. We were with her for a day two weeks ago. We visited Amsterdam, Anne Frank, Gouda, and Delft. Of course we had a whole day for our tour. Enjoy!! Ine Posted July 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2006 Depending on the traffic airport-city will take 20/30 minutes one way. Anne Frank's house ..you just have to be lucky, lines or no lines. If there is a ship in port, lines can be longer. For a good inside look, it will last about 1 hour. Rijksmuseum still has its renovation, most masterworks are therefore together in the south wing, that will save you time. On this link: http://www.schiphol.be/_aankomen_transfer/Langer_dan_4_uur.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302573635&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395729234&VIRTUAL_TEMPLATE%3C%3Evt_id=10134198673766973&bmUID=1152424836993 tours are offered that start to and from the airport. The desk is also inside the airport near the taxfree shops. Hopefully you will have your boardingcard for the connecting flight, that will save time. If you travel to the USA due to security you might need extra time to checkin.
