caribbeandreaming Posted July 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2006 Anyone have a favorite dinning room on the valor? We would like to get a table with a great ocean view. Any suggestions on how we can get this done? do we request one ahead of time (when we get on the ship)? Can we get a table for 2? Is the upper level better than the lower one? Rare silentbob007 Posted July 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2006 You can check your table when you board the ship, then ask the Maitre'd for a change if you don't like where you are at. He might be able to accomodate you. As for the view, that might depend on what time you dine. I've had late dining on my last few cruises and seeing out the window was a bit of a moot point because it was dark out and you couldn't see anything. dan40 Posted July 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2006 If you're cruising anytime but summer, early dining will have a sunset that might be blinding, then blackness. Late dining, just blackness. Window seats are tough to get. Go to the dining Room asap and check your table and talk to the maitre'd if necessary. Dan
RWolver672 Posted July 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2006 On the upper levels of the dining rooms on the Destiny/Conquest class ships, the lifeboats are right outside the windows so they keep the drapes closed. At least they were on the two cruises that we were on and assigned to the upper levels.
serene56 Posted July 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2006 Tables for two are not situated around the windows. These tables are located more mid dining room throughout. (did you request a small table when you booked?)
