QM2 cabin safes

We are sailing Britannia class and wondered about the safes in the cabin. Do they lock with a digital code you choose and enter as on some other ships or do you need a "credit card" to swipe and lock it? If so, can you really use a grocery store card with a magnetic strip as someone on HAL mentioned?

You can either set the safe to a 4 digit code of your choice, or use a Credit Card to swipe it locked or unlocked. We choose a 4 digit number because our credit cards are IN the safe!!!

 

It works very well and is quite roomy.

 

Full instructions for the safe are printed right on the safe door. It will be in one of your closets.

Yes - and when you take you card out to go ashore and loose it you're not left with a safe you can't open:)
