How Do I Do This?

On an Alaska cruisetour, we fly IN to either Anchorage or Fairbanks (any suggestions there?) and OUT of Vancouver. How do I go about booking this? I've always booked round trips. Thanks for any help.:)

This looks like what is called an "open jaw". Your ticket will look something like this. Virgina to Fairbanks, Vancouver to Virgina. In between you take the train from Fairbanks to Denali to Anchourage to Seward (or Whittier). Once your cruise tour is complete you take the ship south bound to Vancouver. If I were you I would start with a Online discounter like Airfare.com where you can enter an "open jaw". Shop around you might be surprised at some of the quotes you get. Good luck. Tim

Most airline website also allow you to price directly with them for this type of fare. Just click on the Multi City option and it should pull up a screen that allows you to enter the dates and airports. Should work just fine.

We did that for our June cruise, and found that booking directly with Alaska Air was by far the cheapest. When the flight changed, they let us know ahead of time, and you can check in online. By all means check them out: http://www.alaskaair.com
