Roll Calls

I've been on several cruises, and the roll calls were always very active. It has always been very enjoyable getting to know people before the trip. Has anyone noticed these threads declining? We're on the 12/10/06 Adventure and there has barely been ANY activity! It's kind of disappointing!!!

I think it is a completely hit or miss thing as to how many people on your particular sailing actually know about cruise critic! It is something like only 1% of cruisers know about this site.

I think the reason is that sooooo many people are cruising now--and most of them no nothing about this site! We barely had enough for a mix and mingle in April--and the ship was full!

We have been on cruises where there was only one other couple bedises ourselves. We have an upcoming cruise in 2 months and we have 120+ signed up, many of which are sending messages on the roll call thread on a regular basis. Like Sue says, I think it is hit or miss.
