English Jane Posted August 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2006 I will be sailing on the Jewel to the Baltics next August 17th. Myself, my husband, my (then) 17 year old daughter and 16 year old son (birthday the day before!) have booked adjacent ocean view rooms on deck 7. I have read on these boards about upgrades but these always seem to have been from one room to another. I was wondering if anyone travelling in two rooms has ever had an upgrade offered / given to both rooms or maybe you were offered to combine into a suite? By the way, the royal suite isn't booked yet - if the fairy happens to be reading!?!? Jane x
Steamboatin Posted August 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2006 You will not be upgraded if you selected the rooms and selected not to be upgraded. You are normally only subject to an upgrade if you ask to be upgraded when placing your cruise "order" with the TA or directly with the cruise line. cb at sea Posted August 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2006 Folks we met on our last cruise booked a guarantee--and were placed in a deck 4 inside. When they arrived at the ship, the found out they had been upgraded to a deck 9 balcony! This was their 1st cruise ever--so no C&A credits came into play. But you have 2 rooms booked adjacent. I doubt they will move you folks. Sorry! I hope you like the rooms you picked! They seem to move around "guarantee" booking the most.
