pazandak63 Posted August 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2006 so...gas did not go up...but fares did. I just saw a jump in prices. Leaving in January (Minneapolis to Miami) and hoping for less $$..and better light times.. Anyone want to guess at my odds of that happening? hdawson Posted August 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2006 More increases coming, I'm sure. Most airlines have lost money too long. Try AirTran or Southwest.

Southwest doesn't go to Minneapolis although everyone that lives in Minnesota is wishing they would since Northworst has about 95% of the airport. If you are going to Miami, try Sun Country air. letsgocruz1 Posted August 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2006 I found better prices doing two one-way tickets. We are flying SW down to FLL and USAirways back. I know you don't have access to SW, but I would check the other airlines and see what kind of one-way fares they have available. I also noticed the price of our trip back kept fluctuating, as much as $100 difference, but I caught it on a good day.
jayscore Posted August 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 24, 2006 I just booked last month with AA, MSP to MIA for next April allready. I'm assuming the prices can only go up. I paid $289 each for two tickets. Nonstop there and one connecting flight (ORD) back. I booked so early, I had my pick of seats, also. Hope this helps!
