oksmith Posted August 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2006 Hi! I hope I'm doing this correctly  . We are going on our first cruise abord the Conquest Sept 10. I am in a Wedding at Grand Cayman and needless to say, we have to pack wedding clothes. I have my Matron Dress and my future SIL is packing the wedding dress. How in the world do I pack my dress? Put it in a garment bag and hang it up immediately when we board or carry it on in a suit bag? I'm not sure. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! -Kim
Mikel1733 Posted August 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2006 There is a wedding board here which will give you loads of information. My daughter had her dress in a carry on garmet bag,. She definitely was not going to trust the airline to put it in the cargo hold. I know of one instance where a bride looked out a plane window and saw her wedding dress on the tarmac with a tire mark going over it.

jerseygirl3 Posted August 25, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2006 I would carry it onboard in a garment bag. If it gets wrinkled it can always be pressed once you board the ship.
