Just wanted to post an experience we had on our Celebrity Constellation Cruise in July.

We were on board for a couple of days when we e-mailed to our family letting them know all was well. My sister-in-law replied back to us with an e-mail to say 'Hi' and also to ask if there were any gift certificates in our room when we arrived as we did not mention anything in our original e-mail... we replied No.

The next day after being away when we got to our room we had a gift certificate to the Spa on our bed.... we immediatly sent a note to my sister-in-law thanking for the Spa gift certificate. She replied back asking was that the only gift certifcate we received... we replied Yes.

Turns out she had also arranged a gift certificate package to the Speciality Restaurant and a credit for the Casino for us to use on our first 2 sea days (too late for that). The troubling thing is she arranged this a month prior to our cruise and phoned 2 days before our cruise to ensure everything was in place.

We ended up getting everything OK - I had asked for some computer time credit for the time spent (literally) e-mailing back and forth about the blunder.... and they did credit me 20 minutes. But I really felt bad for my sister-in-law who was doing something very thoughtful and truth be told if she did not ask us if we recieved anything we would have never known and thought us to be very ungrateful. Plus, she was also on vacation at the time and had to take time out to call Celebrity to get things straightened out.

She has sent a registered letter to the President of Celebrity (a month ago) and has not had any type of response from the Company.

I guess, the point of my story is it wouldn't hurt to check with Guest Services to see if any Gift Certificates were pre-purchased for you.... because you never know!

Safe Travels,

Safe Travels,

We sailed on RCC Jewel of the Sea this spring and we got a gift form our family there was a card in the stateroom telling us that we had recieved this gift. That's not good I hope that Celebrity which is supposed to be a step up from RCC gets on the ball. Lorelle

We missed out on several bottles of wine on RCCL cruises, because our TA told us after the cruise. Now she emails me during, or just before, and tells us to look for it.

We had friends get married in June, and they went on their honeymoon on Crystal Cruises. We paid for a bottle of EXPENSIVE champagne for them on formal night, and I was really concerned they wouldn't get it. They did, but I was going to email them, too, if I didn't hear from them.
