elaineb Posted September 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2006 My DH and I celebrated our 30th anniversary by doing a bus tour of Italy in May. It was wonderful, and I would love to now see Sicily and Corsica. Are there any cruise lines doing these islands which you would recommend? elaineb Posted September 10, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted September 10, 2006 Just a note - we already visited Rome, Venice, Sorrento and Capri so we are looking just for a cruise highlighting the Italian islands if that is possible. Thanks again.

zaandam_2 Posted September 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2006 carnival liberty makes a stop in messina on her med cruise (freedom next year). there's been a lot of civil unrest on corsica lately, so i don't think cruise ships are stopping there. carlmm Posted September 11, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2006 Cunard does stop in Sicily quite often. Costa does both Corsica and Sicily. Something different but maybe the perfect itinerary for you with almost only islands: The Sea Cloud 1. Tag Civitavecchia (Rom)/Italien 2. Tag Bonifacio, Korsika/Frankreich 3. Tag Olbia, Sardinien/Italien 4. Tag Arbatax, Sardinien/Italien 4. Tag Cagliari, Sardinien/Italien 5. Tag 6. Tag Lipari, Liparische Inseln/Italien 7. Tag Syrakus, Sizilien/Italien 8. Tag La Valletta/Malta Also the German budget ship MS Paloma does a number of cruises including both islands.

elaineb Posted September 13, 2006 Author #12 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Thanks all for your suggestions. Dave, the Galaxy looks like just the ticket. When I get a chance I'll also check out MSC.
