Hotel in Amsterdam, Holland

We stayed at the NH Grand Krasnapolsky Hotel right on Dam Square. We had a fantastic room on the 6th floor with a balcony. I got the best rate through the Amsterdam Visitor Web site not the hotels own web site.

We paid 537 Euros for 3 nights.

It was a great hotel and the Winter Garden room where they serve breakfast is beautiful.

No it did not include breakfast - and breakfast was expensive, there are pastry shops around the corner to get an inexpensive breakfast. they have free coffee in the lobby.

 

The hotel takes up most of the block with different buildings housing the hotel rooms. We were in the Royal building.

 

Very comfortable lobby and very excellant restaurant for a formal meal.$$$

Thanks I hope so too.

However I will be in hospital the next 2 weeks and will need some time after that.

I am sure you will also give your best advices about Amsterdamd and NL.

What did you pay? I was looking on other boards and reviewers said it was noisy b/c it was on Dam Sq.. Said to ask for an inside room....Your experience?? How long ago did you stay there?

We did not notice the noise but we were on 6th floor facing a side street. We were there Aug 29 to Sept 2, 2006 just a month ago.

 

We prepaid our stay with Amsterdam Tourist site - we paid 537 Euros for 3 nights.

 

I liked the location easy walking distance to everything, plus we took the tolly just across the square.
